This year’s annual Triple Tree Fly-in Special Events Station, with special callsign W4F was originally scheduled for September 24-26, 2027. The event was postponed for a day due to weather, and operations began in earnest on Friday the 25th. We made over 200 contacts, including England, Spain, Argentina, Brazil, and many in the United States.
Several club members participated in this free event, and enjoyed excellent meals provided by the food vendors. The club was joined by several spectators, including pilots and non-pilots, who stopped by to show interest in amateur radio. A couple of people also operated with us.
Special thanks to club’s event coordinator Russ (K4RUL), and all of the volunteers who made the event a success, with the hopes of even more participation in future fly-ins.
