License Testing

All of the license testing session dates are on Monday evenings. Test sessions will take place at our clubhouse (400 Glennwood Drive in Spartanburg, SC. GOOGLE MAP LINK) Testing begins promptly at 6:30pm, so come a little early.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Picture ID
  • $15.00 cash (exact change please)
  • FCC Registration Number (FRN) (Must be obtained from the FCC. Use the FCC website to register. The FCC no longer accepts social security numbers.)
  • Email address (The FCC now requires each license applicant to provide an email address.)
  • Any Certificates of Completion (CSCE) (First time testers will not have this.)
  • Printed copy of license (First time testers will not have this.)

COMMON QUESTIONS

Do I need to reserve a seat at testing? Seats are assigned first come, first served at testing, so come early if you can. There are not reservations, but we generally have enough seating. If we have a “bumper crop” of test takers, we will make accommodations so folks haven’t made the drive for nothing.

Is there a copier for me to use at the clubhouse? Please make sure you make all necessary copies before you show up for the test. There will not be a copier or printer for you to use at the clubhouse.
